I ordered a tyre in store on Friday and was told that it would be ready to pick up the following Tuesday. I called on Tuesday, and was told that it hadn't arrived yet. (no problem, I wasn't in a rush) When I called back on Thursday to find out if it had arrived, I was told that they don't make the tyre in the size I ordered, (which was a complete lie, they do make it!) but they have some different tyres for me instead, which I obviously didn't want. Basically, they never ordered the tyre I requested and rather than saying this, they tried to sell me some other rubbish. Why I wasn't told this when I called previously on Tuesday is beyond me, but they ended up wasting a week of my time and I ended up with no tyre at all, this was all after having a fairly lengthy conversation with the owner about how I prefer to buy from a local shop rather than just buying from one of the large online firms......won't be going there again, thanks for nothing!
Really nice guy here. Even did work on my bike for free. Great service :)
I fitted new shifters on my bike so I took it in to get them adjusted properly. The owner/manager recommended a new cassette, I said I have one at home so I'll bring it in 9am Monday morning. When I arrived at 9 the bike was already done and he had put on a NEW cassette, he said he forgot our conversation about using my parts. The bill wasn't ready so I couldn't take the bike so I came back again at the end of the day. He then wanted to charge me 45 for a cassette worth 15 that I didn't want or need. He was annoyed with me but agreed to take it off and do what we had agreed in the first place admitting again that it was his mistake. My wife went back the next day to finally pick up the bike only to be charged an extra 15 to have the cassette changed! He said that I didn't show up at 9 Monday morning! He said we have wasted his time and I was lying! How rude! They really tried to rip us off and I will not be using them again.
Went to Aylsham Cycles late in the afternoon on a Saturday for a couple of new tubes, tyres and to fix broken rear brakes. Wife also decided she wanted a front basket. They went the extra mile to do it within an hour despite having other work to do and the final price was very reasonable. Highly recommended.
Certainly they went out of their way to assist me with a problem which was resolved, and price charged was excellent, i can say the customer service was very good. A surprising number of bikes on display with all types available, pricing is competitive. In all well worth a visit for servicing, advice or a new bike...Recommended.
